Houston police are investigating several incidents that occurred during the weekend, including Sunday's fatal shooting of a man at 265 El Dorado.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 265 El Dorado

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 265 El Dorado about 10:55 p.m. on Sunday (July 9).  

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer T. Andrade and Officer S. Gromyko reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and were told by witnesses they first heard people arguing and then heard several gunshots.  The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

At this time, there are no known suspects.

Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 1000 Eastex Freeway

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 1000 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 1:55 p.m. on Sunday (July 9).  

The identity and cause of death of the male are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Officers G. Sullivan and D. Stark reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address and met with Houston Fire Department paramedics, who stated they were flagged down by a witness regarding a body at the location.  HPD homicide investigators subsequently found a body in an advanced state of decomposition.  

At this time, it has not been determined if the male suffered any injuries.

Investigation into Remains Found at 6110 Bowling Green

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on skeletal remains found at 6110 Bowling Green at about 2:30 p.m. last Friday (July 7).  

The individual's gender, identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Officer D. Crowder reported:  

Inspectors at a property at the above address discovered a human skeleton inside the residence.  According to area residents, a homeless male, who possibly suffered from medical issues, would periodically enter the vacant house.  A this time, it is unclear if this is the person whose remains were discovered on Friday.  

There were no immediate signs of foul play.
