La Porte City Council on Monday voted unanimously to revise the city's EMS charges for services rendered outside of the corporate limits of the city by increasing the non-member fees.

The city increased non-member fees from $1,500 to $5,000 per response. Non-member fees are assessed to industrial facilities/companies outside of the city limits that do not participate in the EMS. Companies participating in the Association of Bayport Companies agreements for EMS services has decreased to 41 percent in 2016 down from 86 percent in 2006.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Gideon James to the Airport Advisory Committee.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Thomas Deen to the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize the execution of a construction contract with Greenscapes Six, LLC for sidewalk repair and replacement.

The city council took no action regarding future options for the expansion of the Recreation & Fitness Center.

The city council took no action regarding options for additional lighting for Main Street and Broadway Street.

The city council voted unanimously to move forward with recommendations for potential upgrades at the Northwest Pool, pending partial funding from the La Porte Development Corporation.

The city council voted unanimously to appoint Phillip Hoot to an alternate position on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

The city council took no action regarding pending or contemplated litigation in the matter of Adapted Logistics, LLC et al vs. City of La Porte. An executive session to discuss the item was not held.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
