Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to hold a workshop on July 25 to hear public comments on the county's proposed mobility bond election.

The election is planned for November, and would provide funding for various street projects throughout the county.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Russell C. Jones to the Gulf Coast Water Authority Board of Directors.
The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Dianne Wilson to the Texana Center Board of Trustees.
The commissioners court took no action regarding ratification of Yevette Maldonado to be assigned the role of National Transit Database User Manager for the Federal Admnistration National Transit Database. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt an order setting fees for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's and Constables' offices.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Robert Gray to waive penalty and interest totaling $8,816 on property taxes for tax years 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Raul Tovar to waive penalty and interest totaling $150.17 on property taxes for tax year 2016.

The commissioners court took no action regarding a request to transfer $101,200 from the Vehicle Maintenance Fuel account into the project account to allocate funds for the installation of radar signs throughout the Precinct 3 area. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Joseph Shoboiki to waive penalty and interest totaling $1,274 on property taxes for tax year 2016.

The commissioners court took no action regarding an amendment to the FY2007 sub-award interlocal agreement with the Gulf Coast Rail District to increase the scope of services in an amount not to exceed $250,000, and to extend the duration of the agreement for an additional six months. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court took no action regarding the renewal of an agreement with Hernandez Funeral Home for pauper burials, transports and related services. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a $3,511,155 contract to Aranda Brothers Construction Company for the construction of Sugar Land-Howell Road from Old Richmond Road to Bissonnet.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a $263,866 contract to Statewide Traffic Signal Company for traffic signalization at West Bellfort and Burney.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a $1,995,905 contract to Triple B Services, LLP for the construction of Braxton Street from FM 2919 to Brooks Branch.

The commissioners court took no action regarding an interlocal agreement with the City of Houston to participate in the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to incur litigation costs, not to exceed $7,500, in the matter of Fort Bend County, Texas vs. Pamela Sue Grisham, et al, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to file a lawsuit in the matter of Waqar Rizvi, related to violation of the county's regulations for floodplain management, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court took no formal action, but reflected in the record that the annual evaluation of the Director of Finance and Investments was reviewed in closed session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Commissioner Grady Prestage was absent. Agenda
