Beaumont City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve an ordinance approving CenterPoint Energy's 2017 Gas Reliability Infrastructure Program Rates.

The city council deferred action to elect a mayor pro tem.

The city council voted unanimously to deny a request for a specific use permit to allow a gaming room at 2916 East Lucas Street.

The city council deferred acation regarding an earnest money contract for the sale of city-owned property at 950 Washington Boulevard.

The city council voted unanimously to approve an agreement with Lamar University related to for public, educational and governmental programming on LUTV.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a two-year contract with Capitol Appraisal Group, LLC for the identification of all industrial properties within the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a lease agreement with the Beaumont Art League for the league's use of property at 2675 Gulf Street. The property is owned by the city and has been leased to the art league since 1977. The lease is for a cost of $1.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Council Member Audwin Samuel was absent. Agenda
