Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve county participation with the City of Lake Jackson in the cost of the installation of sewer lines from the last manhole to County Road 220, in an amount not to exceed $62,000, as discussed in closed session.

The sewer line extension would allow for future development north of County Road 220, near the county's airport.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to set a public hearing for July 25 to receive comments concerning the designation of waters of the San Luis Pass. The designation would enact regulations to prohibit bathing, fishing and swimming in the waters of the San Luis Pass.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to issue a proclamation declaring July 22 as Brazoria County Beekeeper's Association Day. The association will host its Second Annual Honey Expo on July 22. Proclamation

The commissioners court voted unanimously to accept a donation of $10,000 from the Friends of the River for park security improvements at Hanson Riverside County Park.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to award a $305,128 contract to Tom-Mac, Inc. for improvements to County Road 190 at the Briscoe Canal.

The commissioners court took no action resulting from executive session discussions regarding potential litigation and the potential purchase of property.
