Deer Park City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to submit a grant application to the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act.

The grant, if awarded, would provide half of the cost for new bulletproof vests. The city is seeking funding for 13 new vests.

The city council voted to award a contract to Houston Poly Bag for 22,000 rolls of garbage bags at a total cost of $193,380.

The city council voted to purchase the services of Vaught Services, LLC to perform the Erin Glen Storm Sewer Upsizing Project, for a total amount of $242,560.

The city counicl voted to ratify a purchase from SKE, Inc. for the relocation of sanitary and water utilities on Ivy Street.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Council Member Thane Harrison absent. Agenda
