Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 192 Goodson

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 192 Goodson about 2:20 a.m. today (July 17).

The victim, Ocyrus Braux, 14, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Stark and G. Sullivan reported:

Patrol officers were dispatched to the above address on a shooting call.  While en route to the location, they were flagged down by a man who told officers his son (Ocyrus Braux) had been shot and they were trying to get him to the hospital.  Officers called for HFD paramedics, who transported Braux to Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital where he was pronounced dead due to a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Several witnesses stated they were standing outside in the driveway when they heard gunshots and saw that Braux had been struck.  No one else was injured.  None of the witnesses reported seeing the shooter.
