Galveston County
Jamaica Beach City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Tuesday, July 18, 2017

Jamaica Beach City Council on Monday voted unanimously to rescind two city parks projects from the proposed 2017 Galveston County Bond Referendum Project List.

The items will be replaced with various road and drainage projects to be determined after the referendum is approved and the county has agreed to the amount of funding Jamaica Beach will receive.

The city council voted 4-0-1, with Rosemary Lindley abstaining to approve the minutes of the June 5 workshop meeting and the June 19 regular meeting.

The city council voted unanimously to approve an interlocal agreement the City of Galveston to utilize Galveston's debris management contracts.

The city council voted unanimously to direct the city administrator to advise the homeowner at 16635 Jamaica Inn to clean out the culverts at their property and to cover a sand pile at the property with a tarp, or to complete their project.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
