Deer Park City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a contract with PAX Water Technologies for water quality improvements at the Coy Street water storage tanks.

The contract, which totals $148,595, will fund installation of a PAX water mixer, which is used to maintain property chlorine residuals in water stored in towers and tanks.

The city council voted to award a $99,166 contract to PMG, LLC for the replacement of the10-inch Force Main at the Harris County Flood Control District Unit.

The city council voted to award a contract to Richmond Printing for the printing of the Deer Park Messenger.

The city council voted to approve a mutual aid fire protection agreement with various parties throughout Harris County.

The city council voted to schedule a public hearing for August 15 for the proposed FY2018 Crime Control and Prevention District Budget.

The city council voted to schedule a public hearing for August 15 for the proposed FY2017 Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District Budget.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with council members Thane Harrison, Ron Martin and Rae Sinor absent. Agenda
