Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees

The Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to approve the 2017-2018 District Compensation Plan for faculty and staff.

The plan includes a 2 percent increase to the teacher salary schedule, with additional increases at the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 year levels of experience. The increases are inclusive of any state mandated pay increases.

The plan also includes a 2 percent salary increase for all professional and auxiliary employees, annual adjustments for experience for employees on the administrative salary schedule, and the second of a two-year compensation plan to increase bus driver pay.

The board voted to schedule a public hearing for August 28 to receive comments on the district's proposed FY2018 Budget and proposed tax rate.

The district's proposed tax rate remains unchanged from the previous year, at $1.04 per $100 valuation for maintenance and operation of the district, and $0.36 per $100 valuation for payments on the district's bonded indebtedness.

The board voted to approve the recommendation of Christina Varsos as dean of instruction at Clear Brook High School.

The board voted to approve the recommendation of Leatrice Sanders as dean of instruction at clear Falls High School

The board voted to name Bridget Christmas as assistant principal at Clear Brook High School, Mandy Antolini as assistant principal at Victory Lakes Intermediate, and Kacie Bevel as Career and Technical Education Coordinator.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Trustee Charlie Pond absent. Agenda

During the meeting, the board recognized Dr. Michele Staley and Dr. Pam Ellis for receiving their doctoral degrees.

The board also heard an update from Dr. Cynthia Short on the district's special education program.
