Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to approve a reimbursement agreement with the Fort Bend Grand Parkway Toll Road Authority for the county to advance $20 million in funds to the authority for the construction of emergency repairs to the Brazos River Bridge.

The bridge requires repairs as the Brazos River has shifted course in a short time, resulting in erosion under the bridge that could cause issues with its stability.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize a construction contract between the Grand Parkway Toll Road Authority and NGB Constructors, Inc. for emergency repairs to the Grand Parkway Brazos River Tangent Wall.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an interlocal agreement between the Grand Parkway Authority and Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 7 for design and construction of erosion control facilities.

The commissioners court voted 3-0-1, with Commissioner Vincent Morales, Jr. abstaining, to approve the appointment of Marvin D. Edwards to the Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 8 Board of Commissioners.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a request by Red Marble Media, Inc. to film a documentary at the Fort Bend County Historic Courthouse on the dates of July 30-31.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Patrick Hoffman to waive penalty and interest totaling $799.77 on property taxes for Tax Year 2016.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Kyle Green to waive penalty and interest totaling $671.25 on property taxes for Tax Year 2016.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to deny a request by Mita and Rajesh Ghosh to waive penalty and interest totaling $607.83 on property taxes for Tax Year 2016.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county judge to deliver all documents to close on parcel 1 for Power Line Road

The commissioners court took no action resulting from executive session discussions regarding the creation of county assistance districts.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the county attorney to pay a negotiated settlement in the matter of Fort Bend County vs. DHK Fulshear, L.P., et al as discussed in closed session.
