Culberson Statement on DOJ’s New Compliance Requirements for Byrne JAG Grant Programs

Washington, D.C. – Congressman John Culberson (TX-07) released the following statement after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced new immigration compliance requirements for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Programs.

“I want to thank Attorney General Sessions for following through on the anti-sanctuary city policy I spearheaded last summer. As Chairman of the Commerce, Justice and Science Subcommittee, I look forward to continuing to work with Attorney General Sessions to ensure that cities and states that receive federal money follow federal law.”
