Harris County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to defer toll rate adjustments scheduled for calendar year 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an agreement with 147th Attack Wing Fire Emergency Services for the county to provide installation and repair services for radio equipment on the public safety radio system.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an amendment to an agreement with the Houston-Galveston Area Council in the additional amount of $77,000 for law enforcement training.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to renew an agreement with Andrews Kurth Kenyon, LLP, for special counsel services in connection with certain public finance and other matters relating to the Toll Road Authority.

The commissioners court voted 4-0-1, with Steve Radack abstaining, to approve sole source and personal services exemptions from the competitive bid requirements for Phonoscope, Inc.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve the following three resolutions:

  • Congratulating and commending James Skarvan for 32 years of service to Harris County.
  • Congratulating and commending Judith Lillie for seven years of service to Harris County.
  • Recognizing the dedication of Mike Johnston Field and Legacy Stadium on August 17, 2017 in Harris County and congratulating Katy Independent School District on the new student activity facility.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an addendum to an agreement with the Houston Ship Channel Security District for the provision of financial assistance to the county to defray the local matching share and a portion of the costs of the county's port security project.

All other agenda items, with minor exceptions, were approved unanimously with all members present. Agenda
