This Week on Stage

Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast region include the tributes to Selena and The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in Houston and the Best of Broadway gala in Dickinson.

Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston will host several events during the week.

Concerts kick off on Thursday with Los Chicos del 512 – A Tribute to Selena. The concert kicks off at 8:30 p.m.

Ozmomatli takes the stage at Miller on Friday at 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Miller Outdoor Theatre will host The Fab 5 & Texas Medical Center Orchestra for the 50th Anniversary Tribute to The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The concert also starts at 8:30 p.m.

Miller Theatre will also host its Movies at Miller screenings of films, with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on Tuesday and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on Wednesday, both at 8:30 p.m.

Bay Area Harbour Playhouse in Dickinson will hold its Best of Broadway 26th Annual Gala on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Alley Theatre in Houston continues its production of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The 39 Steps” this week.

Performances are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m. Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show has been extended through September 3.

Island ETC, East-End Theatre Company in Galveston continues with “Disaster! The Musical” this week, with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. The show runs through August 19.

Main Street Theater in Houston ends its production of “The Last Wife” this week.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Upcoming performances include “Talley’s Folly”, opening September 7 at College of the Mainland Community Theatre in Texas City, and “Enemies”, opening September 16 at Main Street Theater in Houston.
