Fort Bend County Commissioners Court, in a special meeting today, voted unanimously to call for a bond election on the November 7 election ballot for $218,580,000 to fund various mobility projects throughout the county.

The list includes funding for all or portions of projects in each of the four county precincts, with Precinct One receiving $55,210,000 in support of $137,477,900 in projects. Precinct Two will receive $55,610,000 to support $95,967,100 in projects, with Precinct Three receiving $59,510,000 to leverage $88,504,200. Precinct Four would receive $46,850,000 to support $66,181,500 in improvements.

Costs exceeding the proposed bonds, if approved, would be paid by partnering agencies, which include cities in Fort Bend County and the Texas Department of Transportation. Bond Project List

Commissioner James Patterson asked whether the bond was specifically listed as a road bond, or was required to be noted as one. The bond is not specifically listed as a mobility bond. Listen (1:48)

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve the early voting schedule for the November 7 special and joint election.
