Investigation into Man Found Deceased at 5600 Old Spanish Trail

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man whose body was found in Brays Bayou at 5600 Old Spanish Trail about 11:30 a.m. on Thursday (August 10).

The identity of the victim, believed to be 26 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Klementich and T. Colbert reported:

Officers were called to the above address on reports a male's body was found in the bayou.  He was pronounced dead by paramedics.

A preliminary investigation indicated no visible trauma to his body and the victim was believed to be homeless.  Investigators are awaiting an autopsy to determine the man's cause of death.
