New coordinators and assistant principal named in TCISD

TEXAS CITY – Texas City Independent School District is pleased to announce the newest district coordinators and campus assistant principal.

Geny White will be the elementary education coordinator for TCISD. She was most recently the instructional specialist at Heights Elementary. White began her career in education in 2005 teaching at Heights. She also has served the district as an instructional technology specialist. She has both her bachelor’s and master’s degree from University of Houston Clear Lake.

Alexis Knape is returning to TCISD as she enters her 10th year in education. She started her career teaching a broad range of career and technology education (CTE) courses in Pearland ISD. She then taught CTE classes at her alma mater, Texas City High School for six years. During her time there, Knape implemented teaching and hospitality programs that provided internships in local schools and restaurants for the students enrolled. For the last two years she has been an assistant principal at Santa Fe Junior High. She has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and her master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas.

Courtnie Ellis will be the assistant principal at Levi Fry Intermediate School. She has been in education for five years, all as a 5th grade math teacher at Fry. Ellis has her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and master’s degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
