Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast region include a celebration of Nat King Cole and Incredible India: Unity in Diversity in Houston.

Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston continues its free performance and event season with several items.

On Thursday, Miller will host “Too Marvelous for Words: A Celebration of Nat ‘King’ Cole starring Keith David”, at 8:30 p.m.

On Friday, Miller will host Classic Albums Live presents Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Chronicles, also at 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Miller will present “Incredible India: Unity in Diversity” at 8:15 p.m.

Miller Theatre will also host its Movies at Miller screenings of films, with Singin’ in the Rain on Tuesday and La La Land on Wednesday, both at 8:30 p.m.

The Alley Theatre in Houston continues its production of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The 39 Steps” this week.

Performances are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m. Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show has been extended through September 3.

Island ETC, East-End Theatre Company in Galveston wraps up with “Disaster! The Musical” this week, with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m.

Upcoming performances include “Dixie’s Tupperware Party” at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston on August 26, and “Describe the Night”, opening September 15 at the Alley Theatre.
