The Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority, in a special meeting held today, voted unanimously to award a $15,056,107 contract to Aetna Life Insurance Company for group medical insurance coverage for port authority active employees, retirees who are not Medicare eligible and dependents.

The contract is for a one-year period beginning January 1.

The port commission voted unanimously to amend a previous purchase order with SHI Government Solutions, Inc. for annual renewal of Mimecast email management software maintenance and support, to clarify the purchase was made through the BuyBoard cooperative purchase program.

The board voted unanimously to move forward with the potential acquisition of property in the vicinity of the Bayport Terminal, as discussed in closed session.

No other action was taken at the meeting. Commissioners Theldon Branch, Dean Corgey and Stephen DonCarlos were absent. Agenda
