The Houston-Galveston Area Council Board of Directors today voted unanimously to negotiate a two-year intergovernmental agreement with the Texas Transportation Institute for professional support and assistance to H-GAC’s travel demand modeling and development.
The board voted unanimously to enter into a contract with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service for water quality monitoring services in Mill Creek Watershed.
The board voted unanimously to negotiate contracts for disaster debris clearance and removal services.
The board voted unanimously to find the following three projects consistent with plans, policies, and H-GAC review criteria:
- City of Wharton USDA Rural Housing Preservation Grant
- K2 Waste Solutions, LLC Transfer Station
- City of Missouri City CDBG Application
The board voted unanimously to negotiate 2018 Workforce Solutions and adult education contracts as proposed, in the amount of $229,475.
Jerry Davis and Greg Travis casted the opposing votes to an item requesting authorization to negotiate contracts with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, The Hartford, and Wellvia for health, dental and vision, life and LTD, and telemedicine respectively.
