Galveston County
Clear Lake Shores City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Wednesday, August 16, 2017

Clear Lake Shores City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to continue to utilize the law firm of Olson & Olson, LLP to provide city attorney services.

(Correction) The city council voted unanimously to request that the Clear Lake Emergency Medical Corps recalculate its fee in accordance with the city's contract with CLEMC. CLEMC had levied an assessment for Clear Lake Shores of $32,022 for FY2018, and for 5 percent annual increases thereafter, which the city council did not vote to approve as previously stated in the article.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize the Clear Lake Shores Economic Development Corporation to engage the Goodman Corporation to perform a community needs assessment and develop grant applications to financially assist in meeting the identified needs.

The city council voted unanimously to approve an ordinance regulating the installation of cell nodes. The item was approved in response to the approval of legislation to allow the installation of network nodes in public rights-of-way.

The ordinance will provide for regulation and fees for installation of such nodes in the city.

All other items were approved as presented. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
