Pasadena City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a design manual for the installation of network nodes and node support poles and a service pole co-location attachment license agreement pursuant to Texas Local Government Code.

Council Member Thomas Schoenbein noted that the item was in relation to recently approved state legislation allowing network nodes to be placed in public rights-of-way.

“There's a new state law that goes into effect on the 1st, and it's for upgrading the codes to make sure that we have these structures are not inhibiting any city or easement structures within the city,” Schoenbein said. Listen (0:53)
