This Week on Stage

Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast region include “Dixie’s Tupperware Party” in Galveston and “Godspell” in Houston.

The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston will present “Dixie’s Tupperware Party” on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Dixie Longate is America's most famous Tupperware Lady,” said a news release. “Rising through the ranks to become one of the top Tupperware sellers in the US, Dixie decided to parley her skills into a live stage show.News Release

Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston will present the AD Players production of “Godspell” on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.

Bay Area Harbour Playhouse in Dickinson will kick off its production of “Dixie Swim Club” on Friday at 8 p.m.

Additional performances are on Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The show runs through September 17.

The Alley Theatre in Houston continues its production of Alfred Hitchcock’s “The 39 Steps” this week.

Performances are Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m. Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show has been extended through September 3.

Upcoming performances include “South Pacific”, opening September 8 and presented by the Beaumont Community Players, and “Calendar Girls”, opening September 8 at Clear Creek Community Theatre.
