Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to award a $3,167,678 contract to Oldcastle Materials Texas, Inc., doing business as Gulf Coast, an Oldcastle Company, for the Taxiway D Reconstruction Project at Jack Brooks Regional Airport.

The execution of the contract is pending an airport improvement grant application with the Federal Aviation Administration.

The commissioners court voted to approve the inter-department transfer of a 2002 Ford F-150 truck from the Sheriff’s Office to the Maintenance Department in Port Arthur.

The commissioners court voted to approve a joint election services contract and lease agreement with the Port of Beaumont for the November 7 election.

The commissioners court voted to establish the Colonial Pipeline Reinvestment Zone.

A public hearing was held prior to consideration of the item establishing the reinvestment zone.

The commissioners court voted to adopt a resolution recognizing Coastal and Marine Services Agent Dr. Terrie Looney for her service to the county and wishing her well in her retirement. Resolution
