Jamaica Beach City Council canceled its meeting on Monday due to the anticipated lack of a quorum.

A special meeting is being proposed for August 28 to consider the items from Monday's agenda, which included scheduling a public hearing for the city's FY2018 Budget.

Also on the agenda were consideration of a proposal to allow a “Free Little Library” project to be installed by the Girl Scouts, adoption of the Galveston County Health District 2018 Water Pollution Control and Abatement Contract, and adoption of amended flood hazard regulations. Agenda
