Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to propose a property tax rate of $0.440234 per $100 valuation for the 2017 Tax Year.

The proposed tax rate is equal to the effective rate, which will raise the same amount of revenues for the county as 2016, based on existing properties on the tax rolls.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a resolution recognizing Brazoria County Sheriff Charles Wagner on 50 years of service to the county. News Release

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a resolution recognizing Parks Ranger Robert Suniga for his efforts while off duty at an incident at San Luis Pass. Resolution

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reject an offer of $2,408 for the purchase of foreclosed property at 970 Wildwinn Drive.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reject an offer of $1,800 for the purchase of foreclosed property at Conestoga Trail.

The commissioners court took no action regarding a memorandum of understanding with the SPCA of Brazoria County. The item was pulled from the agenda.

The commissioners court took no action resulting from items discussed in executive session regarding potential litigation and the potential purchase of property.
