Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County Board of Directors

The Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Directors today voted unanimously to rename the Robertson Stadium/UH/TSU rail station to the TSU/UH Athletics District rail station, and authorize all signage changes and marketing materials required.

The board voted to adopt a resolution to issue debt to finance new vehicle procurments and to restructure and refund existing debt.

The board voted to approve a contract with V&A Consulting Engineers for corrosion control testing.

The board voted to approve a contract with Permadur Industries, Inc., doing business as SISSCO, for the preventative maintenance, inspection and repair of light rail lifts.

All action items were approved. All votes were unanimous with board members Jim Robinson, Don Elder, Jr. and Sanjay Ramabhadran absent. Agenda

During his report, METRO President & CEO Tom Lambert gave an update regarding preparations for the approach of Hurricane Harvey. Listen (1:28)

“We've got strategies of how we'll be placing equipment,” Lambert said. “We've got strategies of how we'll be responding based on changing conditions. Our media staff will be working very closely with the joint information center at TranStar to put out social media so our customers will be informed.”
