GALVESTON/BOLIVAR FERRY OPERATIONS TO HALT LATER TODAY

HOUSTON – The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) Ferry Operations team is actively monitoring tidal levels. While TxDOT is committed to continuing operations as long as it is safe, we do wish to alert citizens that weather conditions are deteriorating and we anticipate the need to suspend in the upcoming hours.

TxDOT encourages commuters to make final preparations now.  It is estimated that the Galveston/Bolivar ferry services could be suspended as early as 6 pm today; however conditions will dictate when services are halted.
