City of La Porte
News Release
Sunday, August 27, 2017

This is an important message from the City of La Porte.  Due to the continuing emergency situation, La Porte has instituted a city-wide curfew that will go into effect today, August 27 at 8:00 PM through tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM and every night until lifted.  The night-time curfew applies to anyone in La Porte.  The Police Department will be on patrol for violators.

Also, do not place any trash outside until told to do so by city officials.  Any trash bags placed outside could potentially clog storm drains.  There is still significant rain in our forecast, and we want to keep our storm drains clear.

As a reminder, do not call 911 unless you are reporting an emergency at your location or are in need of rescue.  Please report any house flooding to 281-470-0010, and stay updated to the current weather situation by monitoring local news.
