Dickinson City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Wednesday, September 06, 2017

Dickinson City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to ratify the actions of Mayor Julie Masters in executing a contract for disaster debris clearance and removal services.

The city has solicited an emergency request for proposals for debris clearance service due to damages caused by Hurricane Harvey.

The city council voted to approve, on second reading, an ordinance updating the city’s right-of-way management ordinances to regulate the use of the city’s rights-of-way by telecommunications service and wireless network providers for the placement of network nodes and network support poles.

The ordinance is related to recent state legislation that took effect this month allowing network providers to place wireless “micro” nodes in public rights-of-way.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Council Member William H. King, III absent. Agenda
