LASKER PARK COMMUNITY POOL REOPENS WITH NEW HOURS

Galveston, TX –– On Thursday September 7th, the Lasker Park Community Pool will reopen to the public with fall hours that will allow residents exclusive use of the lap pool in the morning while opening up in the evening for recreational fun.

Lap swimmers will have full use of the lap pool each morning from 7:00am to 10:00am Tuesday through Friday. All lanes of the pool will be designated for fitness swimming only during these times. The recreation areas will not be open. The same entry fees apply for the morning lap swimming; however, you will be given a wrist band if you’d like to return for the evening swim.

“Since the first renderings of the pool were unveiled, residents have asked when we would offer designated hours for lap swimmers,” said the Director of Parks & Recreation Barbara Sanderson. “We are thrilled to offer this to our residents and look forward to making laps towards a healthier Island together.”

The recreation pool and slide will be open each afternoon from 3 to 7pm Tuesday through Friday and the lap pool will be available for open swim during those hours. Saturday and Sunday the pool will be open from 10am to 6pm and all areas of the pool will be available for guests.
