This Week on Stage

Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast region include “Ronnie Milsap's Farewell Tour” in Galveston and “Calendar Girls” in Nassau Bay.

The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston will host Ronnie Milsap for the Farewell Tour on Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 3 p.m.

"Not only has Milsap been a consistent chart topper and true icon of the industry, he is also known for his highly-entertaining live show." News Release

Clear Creek Community Theatre in Nassau Bay opens “Calendar Girls” on Friday at 8 p.m.

Due to a delayed opening related to Hurricane Harvey, additional performances include two shows on Saturday, at 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The show runs through September 24.

The Alley Theatre in Houston will kick of its production of “Describe the Night” on Friday at 8 p.m. at the Quintero Theatre at the University of Houston campus. The production was moved due to flood damage at the Alley Theatre.

Additional performances are on Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show runs through October 15.

Main Street Theater in Houston kicks off its production of “Enemies” on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. An additional performance is on Sunday at 3 p.m. The show runs through October 15.

Playhouse 1960 in Houston will present “Over the River and Through the Woods” on Friday at 8 p.m. An additional performance is on Saturday at 8 p.m., and the show runs through October 1.

Miller Outdoor Theatre in Houston will present El Grito featuring Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Miller Theatre will host Salsa y Salud at 8 p.m. On Sunday, Miller Theatre will present the rescheduled performance of Vivaldi, Bach & Handel by Mercury. The performance was originally to be held during Labor Day weekend, but was postponed due to Hurricane Harvey.

College of the Mainland Community Theatre in Texas City continues with “Talley's Folly” this week, with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The show runs through September 24.

Upcoming performances include “The Secret Garden”, presented by Theatre Under the Stars in Houston and opening October 10.
