Debris collection update Monday, September 11, 2017  2:30 pm

City of Dickinson is allowing residents and private contractors hired by residents to deposit debris at the debris collection site at the old Sussan’s, 3820 Gulf Freeway.   Residents or contractors MUST have the following information available when arriving at the site; location/address where the debris was collected, name of the resident at that location, resident’s address and phone number.

Privately hired contractors must also provide name of business, name of contractor and personal identification for the contractor driver.

The City has also received information that pirate contractors are advising residents the city is not picking up the debris and they need to hire the private contractor to remove the debris for a fee.   This is not true.   The City of Dickinson has a contract with Crowder-Gulf Disaster Recovery and Debris Management to collect and dispose of large bulk debris.   Crowder-Gulf trucks are working through the city and will continue to work through the city over the next several weeks.   The debris trucks will make a number of passes through each neighborhood.  Trucks will complete a pass in one area, move to other areas, and then return to the original areas.   This process will be repeated several times until all debris is collected and moved to the collections sites.    Residents DO NOT need to pay for the removal of debris from their property.  Residents can however, choose to hire a private contractor if they wish at their own expense.

Debris collection questions can be directed to 281-337-6267 ext. 460.

Private subcontractors interested in registering for debris pickup can contact Crowder-Gulf at 1-800-992-6207 or http://www.crowdergulf.com/contact.html
