Shoreacres City Council on Monday voted unanimously to schedule a meeting for September 25 to hold a public hearing and meeting to adopt the city's FY2018 Budget.

The city council will also meet at 6:30 p.m. on September 25, prior to the meeting, in a workshop to discuss the budget.

The city council voted unanimously to amend the city's Code of Ordinances to prohibit a hazardous wake on flooded streets that could endanger a person or property.

The city council voted unanimously to nominate Mike Sullivan for election to the Harris County Appraisal District Board of Directors.

The city council voted unanimously to adopt a resolution thanking the community of Blufton, South Carolina for the concern and support shown to the citizens of Shoreacres in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

No other action items were on the agenda. Mayor Kim Sanford and Council Member Ron Hoskins were absent. Mayor Pro Tem Ricky Bowles presided over the meeting Agenda
