Wednesday, September 20, 2017

Seabrook City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve the Seabrook Economic Development Corporation's FY2018 Budget.

The corporation's budget includes total expenditures of $2,374,097, while tax revenues total $840,000. The corporation also has $3,043,835 in unreserved fund balance, for total funds of $3,883,835. The budget projects an ending fund balance of $1,689,738, including reserved and unreserved funds.
The city council voted unanimously to approve the FY2018 Budget for the Seabrook Crime Control and Prevention District. The budget totals $809,497.

The city council voted unanimously to award a $690,400 contract to R.P. Constructors, Inc. for the second phase of upgrades and repairs to the city's Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The city council voted 4-3, with Mayor Thom Kolupski and council members Laura Davis and Natalie Picha opposed, to approve, on first reading, an ordinance granting a modified Planned Unit Development District for The Commons at Seabrook, with the condition that design standards be created and presented for the second reading of the item.

The Commons at Seabrook consists of approximately 22 acres of land for retail development at 3300 Bayport Boulevard. The amendment would allow the list of permitted land uses to include fuel and convenience stores, and to create reserves along the western boundaries of the property adjacent to State Highway 146.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
