Galveston ISD Board of Trustees

The Galveston Independent School District Board of Trustees on Wednesday voted unanimously to approve a memorandum of understanding with Galveston College in support of the Galveston Career Connect grant.

Through the grant, Galveston College provides dual credit classes and continuing education classes. The agreement is for the fourth addendum of the agreement, which originally began in 2014.

Funding includes tuition for dual credit and continuing education classes, textbooks, instructional supplies and test fees.

The board voted to approve the lease/purchase of instruments from Woodwind Brasswind Band Instruments, in the amount of $98,685.

The board voted to approve an application for an optional flexible school day program for AIM College and Career Preparatory Academy.
The board voted to approve an application for an optional flexible school day program for Ball High School.
