A woman critically injured in a crash at 10400 Westheimer about 4 a.m. on August 17 has died from her injuries.

The victim is identified as Faye Edwards, 60.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Salazar and Officer J. Best reported:

The driver of a silver Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on Westheimer and struck a female pedestrian (Edwards), who was crossing the street and failed to yield the right of way to vehicles.  Paramedics transported Edwards to an area hospital.  She was later transported to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, where doctors pronounced her deceased on September 13.

The female driver of the Honda showed no signs of impairment and was questioned and released.
