by Garrett Bryce
Monday, September 25, 2017

The Port of Beaumont Board of Commissioners today voted unanimously to grant right-of-way to Orange County for the Old Highway 90 Widening Project.

“The roadway itself is owned, managed by Orange County,” Port Director & CEO Chris Fisher said. “We’re putting in a right turn lane to our Orange County Terminal.” Listen (2:51)

The port owns a portion of the property needed for the project, which is being conducted jointly with Orange County and the Texas Department of Transportation.

The board voted to approve revised early voting locations for the November 7 Constitutional Amendment and Joint Election.

The board voted to also approve revised Election Day polling locations for the November 7 election.

The port has an $85 million bond referendum on the election ballot. The voting locations were revised due to flooding and storm damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. For information on Jefferson County's election locations, Click Here
