Harris County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to provide the county engineer’s office $20 million for real estate purchases related to Hurricane Harvey.

The commissioners court discussed the item in executive session prior to the vote.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to extend the local State of Disaster Declaration issued in light of Harvey until October 10, 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Frank Nadolney and Joe Stevens to the Sheriff's Civil Service Commission.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a temporary custody agreement with Coalition for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty to allow the organization to take custody of certain animals needing acute, urgent veterinary care before expiration of the three-day hold period mandated by the Harris County Animal Control Regulations.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an interlocal agreement with Houston Community College for GED testing services for inmates in the county jail at a cost of $30,000.

All other agenda items, with minor exceptions, were approved unanimously with all members present. Agenda
