Galveston County Commissioners Court on Monday voted unanimously to continue the declaration of local disaster for the county through November 30, 2017.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to ratify its FY2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Allocation Grant application to the United States Department of Justice.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to designate the second Monday of each month as its regular term.

The commissioners court did not take action on the following two items because of lack of a second:

  • Various General Fund Departments - Request transfer from various General Fund Departments Personal Services to General Government Personal Services for potential issues resulting from Hurricane Harvey.
  • Senior Citizens/Beach and Parks Departments - Request transfer from- Senior Services/Parks and Beach Departments Building Improvements and Improvements Other than Buildings to General Government Building Improvements and Improvements Other than Buildings.

All other agenda items were approved unanimously with all members present. Agenda
