Beaumont City Council today voted unanimously to adopt the city's FY2018 Budget.

The budget includes total anticipated General Fund expenditures of $123,038,500, including $1.5 million in contingency.

The city council voted to adopt the 2018 Capital Program.

The city council voted to establish a property tax rate of $0.71 per $100 valuation.

Of the total tax rate, revenues from $0.490585 per $100 valuation will fund operation of the city, while revenues from the remaining $0.219415 per $100 valuation will be dedicated to payments on the city's bonded indebtedness.

The city council voted to reappoint Gillian Jenkins to the Civil Service Commission.

The city council voted to write-off uncollectible EMS and weed accounts totaling $584,391 for which each individual account exceeds $1,000.

The city council voted to write-off uncollectible water accounts totaling $16,887, for which each individual account exceeds $1,000.

The city council voted to award an estimated $95,130 contract to Garden of Gethsemane for grounds maintenance of Tyrrell Park.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
