Webster City Council, in a special meeting on Tuesday, voted unanimously to approve a 5 percent merit increase for City Manager Wayne Sabo, as discussed in closed session.

The item was approved as part of Sabo's annual performance evaluation.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a 5 percent merit increase for City Secretary Crystal Roan, as discussed in closed session.

No other action was taken at the meeting. All members were present. Agenda

During the meeting, the city council held a public hearing regarding the proposed property tax rate of $0.31725 per $100 valuation for the 2017 Tax Year.

The rate, if adopted, would increase taxes on a home valued at $100,000 by approximately $39.24.

No members of the public requested to address the city council during the public hearing.
