Galveston City Council, during its workshop today, discussed the FY2018 budget. Listen (7:42)

Finance Director Mike Loftin reported no major changes.

"We adjusted our overall hotel occupancy tax estimate for this year to account what we estimate we're going to lose," said Loftin.

City Manager Brian Maxwell thanked Loftin and his staff for their work on the budget.

"I don't think anybody realizes how much time, effort, and hours go into putting all that together," said Maxwell.

The city council also discussed the operations of the municipal court, the possible gift of real property from the Galveston Housing Finance Corporation, and Hurricane Harvey debris removal.

All members were present. Workshop Agenda
