 FEMA Disaster Recovery Center opens in Friendswood 

A FEMA Disaster Recovery Center is opening in Friendswood at the First Baptist Friendswood Relief Center, 209 S. Friendswood Dr. (at Shadowbend) on Friday (September 29) at 1 p.m. They will close Friday night at 7 p.m.

The Center will be open Saturday (September 30) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday (October 1) from Noon to 5 p.m.

Beginning next week, the hours will be Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.

A Disaster Recovery Center is where survivors may go for information about FEMA programs or other disaster assistance programs, and to ask questions related to your case.

Representatives from other agencies, including the Small Business Administration (SBA), State organizations, volunteer groups and others will be at the Center to answer questions about disaster assistance and low-interest disaster loans for homeowners, renters and businesses. They can also help you apply for federal disaster assistance.
