Jefferson County Commissioners Court

Jefferson County Commissioners Court today voted unanimously to nominate Tax Assessor-Collector Allison Nathan Getz to the Jefferson Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.

The board is comprised of five members, which are nominated and elected by the county’s taxing entities. Getz currently serves on the board along with Eugene Landry, Charles Lankford, Lauren Mason and Dr. Louis Reed, Jr.

The commissioners court voted to approve the hiring of Lawrence Gobert as a deputy constable with Constable Precinct 2 under the ASAP Program.

The commissioners court voted to adopt a proclamation declaring October 1-7 as “National 4-H Week” in Jefferson County. Proclamation  Listen (23:38)

The commissioners court voted to approve a property tax abatement agreement with Enterprise Refined Projects Company, LLC.

The commissioners court voted to approve a property tax abatement agreement with Coastal Caverns.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
