 Galveston Police Actively Searching for Homicide Suspects

On Sunday October 1st 2017 at approximately 10:30pm, the Galveston Police Department responded to the 1200 block of 21st Street in Galveston, Texas in relation to a weapons offense.  When Officers arrived on scene, they viewed Anthony Maupin (44) suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Galveston EMS transported Maupin from that location to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Maupin was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives with the Galveston Police Department are actively searching for suspect(s) and several additional witnesses to the Homicide incident. This case is still developing and further information will be disseminated to the public at a later time.
