The Texas City City Commission on Wednesday voted unanimously to award a contract to USIC Locating Services, LLC for sewer and water line location services.

The city commission voted to approve various appointments and reappointments to boards, commissions and committees. Appointments

The city commission voted to approve an ordinance vacating a portion of 4th Avenue South.

The applicant, who owns property in the 3200 block of 5th Avenue, requested the abandonment to provide access to property that is adjacent to 4th Avenue South, but is landlocked due to a lack of roadway improvements.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Commissioner Dorthea Jones absent. Agenda
