Taylor Lake Village City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to adopt the city's FY2018 Budget.

The budget includes total projected revenues of $1,853,148, with anticipated expenses of $1,849,870.

The city council voted to adopt a property tax rate of $0.2696 per $100 valuation for the 2017 Tax Year.

The 2016 tax rate for the city totaled $0.284 per $100 valuation.

The city council voted to appoint Mayor Jon Keeney as representative and Council Member Einar Goerland as alternate to the Houston-Galveston Area Council 2018 General Assembly.

The city council voted to continue a tax exemption for residents who are disabled or 65 years of age or older. The measure exempts $10,000 from the taxable value of homestead properties for those who are disabled or 65 years or age or older.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Doug Shows and Tony Galt absent. Agenda
