Fort Bend County
Sugar Land City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Thursday, October 05, 2017

Sugar Land City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to authorize the issuance of $2.5 million in bonds by the Imperial Redevelopment District.

Proceeds from the bonds will be used to fund a portion of the construction costs associated with Imperial Lift Station No. 1, extension of a 16-inch sewer line, as well as geotechnical, survey and design fees, and land costs. The proceeds will also be used to pay certain non-construction costs associated with the sale of the bonds.

The city council voted to nominate Al Abramczyk and Jim Kij for re-election to the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.

The city council voted to approve an interlocal agreement with the Fort Bend Subsidence District for sponsorship of the “Learning to be Water Wise” program.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
