La Porte City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Tuesday, October 10, 2017

La Porte City Council on Monday voted unanimously to adopt an internal ethics compliance policy for the city.

The policy will be incorporated into the city's human resources personnel policy manual, in order to meet requirements to received state or federal public transportation funds. State law requires a policy “designed to detect and prevent violations of the law, including regulations, and ethical standards applicable to the entity or its officers or employees.”

The city council voted to cancel meetings for November 27 and December 25 due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The city council will meet on November 13 and December 11.

The city council voted to ratify the nomination of Champ Dunham for appointment to the Fire Code Review Committee.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Council Member Daryl Leonard absent. Agenda
